2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for offence under Sections 80(2), 238(b), 61(2) of the B.N.S. and Section 3/4 of D.P.Act.
3. As per prosecution case, daughter of informant was married with co-accused Shyam Bihari on 19.05.2021 and some time after the marriage, all the accused persons including this petitioner subjected her (daughter of informant) with cruelty and harassment due to non-fulfillment of additional demand of dowry and lastly, on 19.07.2024, they killed her and concealed the dead-body.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased. There is general and
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.39269 of 2025(2) dt.08-08-2025 2/2 omnibus allegation. Informant is not eye-witness to the occurrence. Thrust of the accusation is against husband of the deceased. Petitioners is separate in mess and property and has got no concern with the family affairs of deceased and her husband. Petitioner claims clean antecedent and is in custody since 22.01.2025. Chargesheet has been submitted.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail petition.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as period of custody, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Addl. Sessions Judge - V, Barh, Patna in connection with S. Tr. No. 603 of 2025, arising out of Barh P.S. Case No. 500 of 2024.
