JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 07-09-2018 The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners for a direction to the respondents to treat the age of superannuation of the petitioners as 65 years. The petitioners are teachers. The age of superannuation of the teachers was finally decided by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Jagdish Prasad Sharma vs The State of Bihar & Ors. [(2013) 8 SCC 633].

In view of the judgment of the Apex Court in the case of Jagdish Prasad Sharma (supra), the respondents are directed

Patna High Court CWJC No.18227 of 2009(6) dt.07-09-2018 2/2 to treat the age of superannuation of the petitioners as 65 and grant all consequential benefits treating the age of superannuation of the petitioners as 65 years. Necessary decision granting all consequential benefits to the petitioners shall be taken by the respondents within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
