2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 117(2), 118(1), 118(2), 109(1) and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the son of the informant namely, Sagun Prasad was going to irrigate his field. Meanwhile, the petitioner along with others started assaulting him. The son of the informant tried to flee away. It is alleged that this petitioner fired at his leg.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that from perusal of the injury report it will transpire that the gunshot injury has hit in the sole of the left leg. Had there been

The body part which has been selected for the assault shows that the petitioner was not having any intention to commit any serious offence. The petitioner is in custody since 21.04.2025.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of bail to the petitioner.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Hilsa P.S. Case No. 158 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Hilsa, Nalanda.
