The petitioner has preferred this writ petition praying for quashing of the proceedings of confiscation initiated in E.C. Act Case no.25 of 2020-21 which is pending before the Collector, Siwan for release of the vehicle seized in connection with Guthani P.S. Case no.154 of 2020 registered under sections 188, 269 and 270 of the Indian Penal Code, section 7 of the E.C. Act as also various sections of the Epidemic Disease Act and Disaster Management Act.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, without entering into the merits of the case of the respective parties, this

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.999 of 2021(2) dt.17-11-2021 2/2 application is disposed of with a direction to the Collector, Siwan to dispose of the pending confiscation proceeding vide E.C. Act Case no.25 of 2020-21, if not already disposed, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition stands disposed of.
