Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 18.07.2020 on the charges that commercial quantity of opium was recovered from Gurunanak Line Hotel, Aurangabad as well as from petitioner's residence. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent, it is next submitted that the trial has commenced and out of five witnesses, three witnesses have been examined and only two witnesses remain to be examined. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the submissions, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and to conclude it preferably within

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.45507 of 2023(2) dt.19-07-2023 2/2 a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the petitioner's prayer for bail is rejected.
