The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Angadh P.S. Case No.19 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 409 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
It is alleged that the petitioner, who was appointed as Meter Reader on contract basis in North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, has misappropriated Rs.42,754/-. It has been submitted that this case is of temporary embezzlement. The petitioner has already deposited the said amount along with interest i.e. Rs.45,961/- on 16.01.2018. The petitioner is in custody since 11.01.2018 having clean antecedent.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.28874 of 2018 (3) dt.28-06-2018 The learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the submission.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer of bail is allowed. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea in connection with Angadh P.S. Case No.19 of 2017.
