Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 5.7.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.30329 of 2017 with a direction to the learned trial court to expedite the trial.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for more than 1 1⁄2 year and up till now the trial has not been commenced.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

From perusal of the report, it appears that one of the co-accused is absconding as such this trial of the petitioner has been separated and the charge has been framed in this case and there is recovery of 32.824 kg. ganja from the petitioner.
