2. The petitioner, who is husband of opposite party no.2, apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A,379/34 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, referring to paragraph 23 of the bail petition, submits that the parties have amicably settled their dispute before Gram Panchayat, Jhapha and petitioner has paid Rs.5.51 lacs by way of one time settlement to opposite party no.2 vide cheque dated 30.10.2021 and a joint compromise petition dated 30.11.2021 has also been filed in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Muzaffarpur (annexure 7 to the bail petition).
4. In view of the aforesaid development, in the event
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.42592 of 2023(2) dt.28-07-2023 2/2 of arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, let above-named petitioner be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Muzaffarpur in Mahila Police Station Case No. 69 of 2020, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
