The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Madhepur P.S. Case No. 43 of 2016 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against petitioner is of misappropriation and defalcation of money related to allotment of Indira Awas Yojna in which apart from the petitioner, officers from the bank and clerks were also made accused. It has been further submitted that they have been granted anticipatory bail as contained in Annexure-3 series. Petitioner is working as an Assistant in the Block Office and he is in custody since 01.05.2018.
