The petitioner seeks bail in Sheohar P.S. Case No. 191 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act. As per the prosecution case, some unknown miscreants made indiscriminate firing targetting the informant, but he escaped unhurt. Subsequently, he received phone calls asking for extortion.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is not named in the FIR. During course of investigation, name of this petitioner has come in this case on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused Karan Ram. No incriminating article has been recovered from possession of this petitioner. No test identification parade has been held till

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.54354 of 2021(2) dt.06-12-2021 2/2 date. The alleged mobile phone from which ransom was demanded does not belong to this petitioner and he is in custody since 21.12.2020.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned I/c Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sheohar in connection with Sheohar P.S. Case No. 191 of 2019.
