The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 325, 307, 379, 353, 504, 506, 427, 283, 336, 337, 338, 448 and 447 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner has been made on account of the fact that he was a participant of peaceful agitation against the highhandedness of the University authorities.
