This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation against the petitioner, who was the Panchayat Secretary, is that he did not provide the service record of teachers appointed on contract basis.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is a Government servant and for the act, alleged, a disciplinary proceeding might have been initiated. In fact, no criminal office is made out.
Considering the aforesaid fact, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Ballia P.S. Case No. 168 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai, or successor Court.
