This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Fenhara P.S.Case no.70 of 2015 for the offences under Sections 134, 148, 341, 323,387, 504, 506, 456, 466, 468, 471, 474, 149, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 17 of C.L.A. Act and Section 10/13 of UAP Act.
Allegation against the petitioner as per FIR is that one Manoj Singh demanded Rs.50,000/- as ransom and they came at the work cite also, The petitioner has been made accused on the basis of confession of above Manoj Singh. It further appears that the petitioner is accused in 46 other cases.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that except confessional statement, there is nothing against the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.43716 of 2018 (3) dt.17-09-2018 2/2 petitioner and though he is accused in 46 other cases but in some cases he has been acquitted by the court concerned and in other cases he is on bail.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of allegation as well as the criminal antecedent, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
