This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 8 and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Four kilograms and two hundred grams ganja was allegedly recovered from the possession of this petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 20.09.2016 and has stated on oath that he has got no criminal antecedent. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for bail is refused.

The petitioner may renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within nine months from today, before the Court below itself.
