BAJANTHRI ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 17-01-2022 This matter is heard via video conferencing due to circumstances prevailing on account of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- "(i) For issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities specially respondent no. 3 to consider the application of petitioner for compassionate appointment in place of his father who was working in Electrical Work Division, Building Construction Department and died in harness on 30.07.2017 leaving behind one widow, three sons and one daughter.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1119 of 2021 dt.17-01-2022 2/2 (ii) For considering the representation dated 30.12.2019 filed by the petitioner's mother for appointment of petitioner on compassionate basis after considering the report of financial status submitted by respondent no. 4.

(iii) For issuance of any other appropriate writ(s), order(s) and direction(s) as your Lordship may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

The grievance of the petitioner is relating to compassionate appointment whose father died in harness on 30.07.2017 leaving behind one widow, three sons and one daughter.

The concerned respondent is hereby directed to decide the petitioner's representations dated 20.04.2019, 18.09.2019 and 22.10.2019 (Annexure-6) relating to compassionate appointment within a period of two months from the date of receipt of this order after giving due opportunity of hearing to all the legal heirs. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed off.
