Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 47(A) of Excise Act. Taking into consideration that in huge quantity liquor was recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail, at least at this stage and hence, his prayer for bail in connection with Purnea Sadar (M) P.S. Case No. 259 of 2016 pending in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea stands rejected.
