Petitioner is an accused in connection with Sour Bazar (O.P. Baijnathpur) P.S. Case No. 543 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected on merit vide order dated 08.11.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 64584 of 2019. Petitioner is in custody since 16.07.2019.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is no fresh ground to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Having considered the entire facts and circumstances

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2462 of 2021(4) dt.17-03-2021 2/2 of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. It is, accordingly, rejected.

However, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial within a period of six months. If the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after six months.
