The petitioner is in custody in connection with Special Case No. 13 of 2020 [CIS No. 13 of 2020] arising out of Baisi P.S. Case No.152 of 2020, for the offence under Sections 274, 275 and 276 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act and Sections 27(b)II, 28 and 27(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

In the instant case, cough syrup was seized. It is alleged that cough syrup contained Codeine which is used for substitute of liquor. Petitioner is in custody since 28.06.2020.
