2. The present application has been preferred for the following relief(s):

(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ(s), direction(s) order(s) in the nature of mandamus for commanding the respondents to receive rents for the land inherited by the petitioner from his ancestors, and grant rent receipts thereof, after making necessary correction in jamabandi.

(ii) Any other relief(s) for which the petitioner may found entitled.

The prayer of the petitioner is to take notice of the prayer for issuance of rent receipt pursuant to the jamabandi which is continuing in the name of their family members/father of the petitioner. He submits that he along with Kailash Prasad Singh moved before appropriate Revenue Authorities and lastly, before the Additional Collector, Banka and pursuant thereto vide letter no. 2376 dated 15.06.2023 (Annexure-P/6 to the petition). Enquiry report was sought for from the Circle Officer, Rajaun. The submission is that till date, the same has not been taken to its logical conclusion.

4. Learned State counsel submits that though the petitioner has preferred petition, proper enquiry has to take place, necessary parties to be heard before the matter is taken to its logical conclusion.

5. The petition has been preferred in the year 2023 and we are in the year 2025. Two years have lapsed. In that background, instead of keeping the writ petition pending, the same is disposed of directing the respondent nos. 2 to 5 to look into the matter and after enquiry and making the enquiry report available to the parties concerned and hearing them, the same has to be taken to its logical conclusion within a period of four months from the date the petitioner his brother prefers petition

6. The writ petition is disposed of with aforesaid observation.
