ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 03-07-2025 Without going into the merits or demerits the present case, it is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the counsels.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner has not filed his objections under Section 9 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demand Recovery Act, 1914 and has straightaway approached this Court challenging the distress warrant issued against him, this Court finds it expedient to direct the petitioner to file his objections under Section 9 before the Certificate

Patna High Court CWJC No.9831 of 2025(2) dt.03-07-2025 2/2 Officer within a period of four weeks from today. On such objections being filed, the authorities shall consider the same and pass final orders under Section 10 within a period of twelve weeks thereof. It is needless to observe that before passing any order, the authorities shall give the petitioner notice and grant him an opportunity of hearing. Till such time the final orders are passed, the authorities are directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner. In case the petitioner does not cooperate for the disposal of the certified case or does not file any objections within the stipulated period, the authorities are free to pass necessary final orders in accordance with law.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
