The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Rani Talab P.S. Case No. 25 of 2018 registered under Sections 304/ (B), 120 (B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioner along with other accused persons are said to have committed dowry death of the daughter of the informant by strangulating her neck and concealed her dead body in the Sone river.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner happens to be father-in-law of the deceased. He neither made any demand nor subjected the victim nor committed the aforesaid occurrence. The allegation levelled against him is
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47365 of 2018 (4) dt.28-09-2018 2 / 2 general and omnibus in nature. There is no specific allegation of any sort against the petitioner. Though, the accused persons are said to have committed murder of the deceased by strangulating her neck but the doctor has not found any ligature mark on the neck rather on the head of deceased. Petitioner happens to be old person and has been languishing in custody since 01.02.2018. Considering the facts aforesaid, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned J.M., 1st Class, Danapur, in connection with Rani Talab P.S.
