JUSTICE BIRENDRA PRASAD VERMA ORAL ORDER 21-04-2015 Despite repeated calls, none appears on behalf of the petitioners in support of the present writ petition though fresh notice was issued to the writ petitioners by order dated 23.02.2007, which has been validly served upon them. None appears on behalf of the respondents either, though the names of the learned counsel appearing on their behalf are printed in the daily cause list.

The matter at issue is the cancellation of settlement of 19 jalkars made in favour of the petitioner society for the period from 01.04.2000 to 31.03.2003, which is evident from paragraph 2(ii)

Apparently, the period of settlement made in favour of the petitioner society is over. In above view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the present writ petition. Hence, the present matter has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
