In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Ara Nawada P.S. Case No. 330 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under section 30 (a) Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The police on secret information has raided the house of the petitioner and outside his house, there was a pick-up van loaded with a huge quantity of illegal liquor and the petitioner was standing there.

Looking to the volume of liquor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders and prays for regular bail, the court below without being prejudiced
