The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Belhar P.S. Case No. 285/2016, registered for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

It is submitted that the petitioner was carrying his own wheat on a tempo bearing registration no. JH-15-H-7478, but the informant illegally seized the vehicle on the version that the wheat is of P.D.S. shop and same was being carried for the blackmarketing. Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that petitioner claims that he is the owner of the wheat, the petitioner above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of
