The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Piprahi P.S. Case No. 37 of 2017, registered under Sections 30(A) and 33 of Bihar Prohibition of Excise Act, 2016. The allegation leveled against the petitioner is with regard to the police receiving a secret information regarding illicit liquor being stored at the place of occurrence. Accordingly, the police is said to have carried out a raid at the place of occurrence and the petitioner was apprehended as well as liquor was recovered from there.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent having no criminal antecedent and he is in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26552 of 2017 (2) dt.13-06-2017 2/2 custody since 13.03.2017.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Ist Additional Session Judge-cum-Special Judge, Sheohar in connection with Piprahi P.S.
