2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Buxar Mahila P.S. Case No. 16 of 2026, dated 13.02.2026, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 69, 318(4) of B.N.S.

3. As per the prosecution case, the informant, a major lady, aged about 20 years, fell in love with this petitioner while the petitioner used to work in her village. It has been alleged that both of them were on talking terms and this petitioner established physical relation with her on false pretext of marriage. It has further been alleged that the informant was

It has further been alleged that the informant took gold ornaments and also cash amount of Rs. 5000/- along with her, which the petitioner snatched from her at his aunt's house. It has further been alleged that the petitioner refused to marry the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that admittedly both the petitioner and the informant are major and, as per FIR itself, both were in love with each other and the allegation with respect to physical relation on false pretext of marriage is false. It has further been submitted that there is delay of about one year in lodging the FIR. It has been further submitted that both the petitioner and the informant are in the age of discretion. It has further been submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. It has further been submitted that charge sheet has been filed in this case and there is no allegation of tampering against the petitioner. It has lastly been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 24.03.2026.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

6. Heard the parties and perused the records.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.39193 of 2026(2) dt.17-06-2026 3/3 as well as the period of custody, the petitioner above-named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Buxar in connection with Buxar Mahila P.S. Case No. 16 of 2026.

8. The application stands allowed.
