JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 22-11-2022 Though the present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the District Arms Magistrate, Begusarai to renew the arms licence of the petitioner, however, it is submitted that though a show cause notice dated 10.02.2020 was issued to the petitioner, asking him to submit his show cause reply as to why his arms licence be not cancelled and the petitioner had also filed his reply to the same, but still the arms licence has not been renewed.

Nonetheless, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to again approach the District Arms Magistrate, Begusarai for renewal of his arms licence. Liberty so sought is granted.

Patna High Court CWJC No.15872 of 2021(2) dt.22-11-2022 2/2 It is needles to state that in case, appropriate representation/ application for renewal of arms licence is filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today, the District Arms Magistrate, Begusarai shall consider the same, in accordance with law and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
