Petitioner seeks bail in S.Tr.No.66 of 2002 arising out of Siwaipatti P.S.Case No.20 of 2000 registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 447, 307, 379, 325 of the I.P.C. and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
This is a case of misuse of privilege of bail of 1 year 6 months.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for four months in this case. Report earlier called for has been received vide letter no.458 dated 8.8.2018 which shows that the case is fixed for defence evidence on 10.8.2018 and it has been stated that the trial would be concluded in near future.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.46958 of 2018 (3) dt.19-09-2018 2/2 In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, trial court is directed to expedite the trial as soon as possible by conducting the trial on day to day basis without giving unnecessary adjournment to the parties. This application is dismissed.
