2. The instant application for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioners apprehending their arrest in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case no. 66 of 2024 instituted for the offence under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The case of the prosecution is that daughter of the informant, namely, Sneha Kumari @ Neha Kumar was married to Raman Kumar Singh as per hindu rituals on 28.11.2023. It is further alleged that she was subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. It is further alleged that on 07.03.2024, the informant received information that the in-laws
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.40371 of 2025(2) dt.04-07-2025 2/3 have killed his daughter due to non-fulfillment of dowry demand of Maruti WagonR Car.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners are cousin father-in-law and mother-in-law of the deceased and have falsely been implicated in connection with the present case. It is further submitted that they are living separately. It is further submitted that father-in-law and motherin-law of the deceased have been extended the privilege of bail vide order dated 23.09.2024 and 13.12.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. Nos. 42827 of 2024 and 65708 of 2024 respectively. The case of these petitioners stand on better footing.
5. Learned APP appearing for the State vehemently opposed the prayer of bail of the petitioner.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case as stated above, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. The petitioners are directed to surrender in the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and in the event of their arrest or surrender in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case no. 66 of 2024, they will be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ACJM-XI, Saran,
