Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Khagaria P.S. Case No.701 of 2016, giving rise to Special Case No.19 of 2016, registered under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act.

This is the second bail application moved by the petitioner. Earlier the prayer of bail of the petitioner was rejected on merit vide order dated 18.05.2017, passed in Cr. Misc. No.19320 of 2017.

Allegation is that 14.8 Kgs. of Ganja was recovered from the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks bail of the petitioner on the ground of period of custody. A report was also

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer of bail of the petitioner is again rejected and the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within a period of nine months.
