The petitioners seek regular bail in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No.226 of 2026 registered for the offence under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.

The police intercepted a Bolero vehicle and recovered about 236 litres of illicit foreign liquor from the said vehicle and also arrested the petitioners.

The petitioners are in custody since 07.05.2026.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41501 of 2026(2) dt.25-06-2026 2/3 the petitioners that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. It has further been submitted that nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of these petitioners.

It has also been submitted that the petitioners are ready to donate Rs.25,000/- each in some charitable organization without accepting their guilt.

Learned APP appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioners, this bail application is allowed. 9.

Let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Exclusive Special Excise Judge- I, Begusarai / concerned Court below, in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No. 226 of 2026.

This is also subject to the condition that the petitioners shall deposit an amount of Rs.25,000/- each Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Swami Vivekananda Path, Bela, Muzaffarpur, and produce the receipt of the same before

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41501 of 2026(2) dt.25-06-2026 3/3 the Court below at the time of furnishing their bail bonds. The bail bonds of the petitioners shall only be accepted after verifying the genuineness of the receipt produced by them. 11.

This is also subject to the condition that the petitioners shall also mark their attendance at Teghra Police Station, District- Begusarai on every Sunday of the month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bonds of the petitioner. 12.

It is, however, clarified that the observations made herein are limited to the adjudication of the present bail application and shall not prejudice the case of the petitioners at any subsequent stage of the trial and this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
