2. The instant application for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioner apprehending his arrest in a case instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. As per the allegations made in the F.I.R., coaccused Suraj Kumar executed a marriage affidavit and, on that ground he established physical relation with the informant, under the false pretext of marriage.

No.41647 of 2025(2) dt.16-07-2025 2/3 Thereafter, when the informant insisted that he take her to her matrimonial home (sasural), he allegedly demanded a sum of ₹10,00,000 (ten lakh rupees). Allegation against the petitioner is that on the instigation of co-accused Suraj Kumar, he threatened the informant with dire consequences over the phone
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. Being maternal uncle (Mama) of the co-accused Suraj Kumar, petitioner has falsely been implicated in the case due to ulterior motive of the informant. There is no specific allegation against the petitioner rather the allegation levelled against him is general and omnibus that he threatened the informant with dire consequences through phone.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of bail.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case as stated
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41647 of 2025(2) dt.16-07-2025 3/3 above, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The petitioner is directed to surrender in the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and in the event of his arrest or surrender in connection with Khagaria Mahila P.S. Case no. 47 of 2024, he will be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khagaria, subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482 of the BNSS.
