The petitioner seeks bail in Sitamarhi P.S. Case No. 289 of 2015 registered under Sections 307, 384 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The petitioner and two unknown miscreants have been indicted with demanding extortion of Rs. 10 lacs from the informant and resorting firing at the house of the informant over not coughing up the demand.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case due to previous animosity. He has no concern with the aforesaid offence. No one has sustained any fire arm injury. He has never demanded any ransom from the informant. The allegation is general and

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.31041 of 2017 (2) dt.06-07-2017 2/2 omnibus in nature. Five criminal cases have been instituted against the petitioner, but he is on bail in all the cases. The petitioner has been languishing in custody since 22.01.2016. Considering the facts aforesaid, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi in connection with Sitamarhi P.S. Case No. 289 of 2015.
