2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Bajpatti P.S. Case No. 24 of 2026 registered for the offence under Sections 80, 85 & 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 read with Section 3/4 of D.P. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. She is alleged to have killed the deceased because of demand of dowry after assaulting her. Materials collected during investigation supports the direct allegation against the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. The petitioner is in custody since 28.01.2026, bears clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submits that it is a case of dowry death.

6. Considering the gravity of offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

8. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
