The petitioner in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition has sought, inter alia, the following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:- (I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent authorities to grant two increments on account of acquiring Ph.D. degree w.e.f. 01.01.96/27.7.98 in view of order passed in L. P. A No. 269/2016 order dated 27.7.2017 read with CWJC No. 15136 of 2010 dated 15.11.2010 and CWJC No. 1968 of

Patna High Court CWJC No.15823 of 2021(3) dt.06-05-2025 2/2 2017 order dated 27.9. 2018 by which the Hon'ble Court has held that two increments are payable on account of acquiring Ph.D. degree and a direction to make payment the arrears of pre and post retiral dues thereupon adding two increments from 01.01.1996/27.7.1998 as similarly situated person of different University has been given the same benefit.

(II) For issuance of any other appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions for which the writ petitioner shall be found entitled under the facts and circumstances of the case.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submitted that in view of the clear statement and admission made in the para nos.10-14 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, the grievance/s of the petitioner is also required to be considered by the Magadh University and State, to give the same parity to the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the University is directed to calculate increments payable to the petitioner on account of acquiring Ph.D. degree and redress the grievance of the petitioner well within a period of six weeks.

5. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
