The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Akilpur P.S. Case No. 24 of 2013 instituted for the offences under Sections 307, 302, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

This is the third attempt of the petitioner for bail. The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail which was earlier rejected by this Court vide order dated 08.04.2024 and 06.12.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 74412 of 2023 and Cr. Misc. No. 70274 of 2024 respectively.

In compliance of the order dated 07.07.2025, a report dated 12.07.2025 with regard to the present stage of trial has been received. From perusal of the aforesaid report, it appears that Charge has been framed against the petitioner on 05.06.2024 and out of 14 Charge-sheeted witnesses, 11 witnesses have already been examined. It is further reported that if the prosecution produces the rest witnesses for examination, the trial of the case will be concluded within a period of four months.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 23.03.2023 without any rhymes or reason and has got five criminal antecedents in which he is on bail in all cases. 6.

Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for grant of bail.

There is no new ground to consider the bail petition of the petitioner. From the aforesaid report, it appears that the trial is going on and is at an advance stage. 8.

In view of the above, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is again rejected with a direction to the court below to expedite the trial and conclude the same expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from today. If the
