Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Maranchi P.S. Case No.48 of 2016 registered for the alleged offences under Sections 341, 323, 325, 427, 386, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, 3 to 4 accused persons are said to have demanded levy from the informant during course of repairing of a mobile tower in the name of the petitioner and thrashed him and snatched his belongings and cash of Rs.5000.00. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that he was not present at the place of occurrence. His name has surfaced in the case on the basis of confessional statement of one co-accused, Dharmendra Kumar @ Karu.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32395 of 2017 (02) dt.13-07-2017 2/2 Though two criminal cases are pending against the petitioner but he has been enlarged on bail in those cases. He has been languishing in jail custody since 20.12.2016. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barh, Patna in connection with Maranchi P.S. Case No.48 of 2016.
