Having regard to the fact that the petitioner now seeks to assail the order of the District Magistrate dated 25.1.2008 terminating the services of the petitioner from the post of Panchayat Teacher/ Panchayat Shiksha Mitra, this writ application filed after more than 71⁄2 years of the cause of action must be held to be not maintainable only on the ground of delay and laches on the part of the petitioner.

This application, therefore, must fail and is hereby dismissed.
