The petitioner apprehends her arrest in Patori P.S. Case No. 72/2015, registered for the offences punishable under Section 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The grand father of the deceased stated that the deceased was married to Vashishtha Kumar Rai and got a son, but her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and other were torturing her. They also brutally assaulted her. The sari, admit card, purse etc. of his grand daughter found by the side of the river Ganges. During the course of investigation other witnesses have also stated that the petitioner and other accused persons assaulted the deceased due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry and the dead body of the deceased is still traceless.
