Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 30.8.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 35845 of 2017 on merit. Allegation in the FIR is of snatching of bag and firing on the deceased.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for more than 14 months and up-till-now only one witness has been examined in this case and other coaccused persons have been granted bail. Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42005 of 2018 (3) dt.08-08-2018 2/2 expedite the trial and conduct it on regular basis so that the trial may be concluded within a reasonable period.
With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
