The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Khagaria Rail P.S. Case No. 15 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Informant in his written complaint addressed to S.H.O., Khagaria G.R. P.S. has stated that on 08.01.2018 while travelling from Muzaffarpur to New Jalpaiguri, when train reached Khagaria station at 11.00 PM one miscreant snatched the purse of wife of informant and fled away which contains important documents and mobile and cash of Rs. 5000/-. FIR is against unknown. The name of petitioner has surfaced in this

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42021 of 2018(3) dt.20-08-2018 2/2 case on the basis of one confessional statement made by Md. Irfan that he purchased the mobile from petitioner, except said confession there is no any other materials against the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 09.04.2018. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Railway, Khagaria, in connection with Khagaria Rail P.S.
