ANJANA PRAKASH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 04-01-2016 The Petitioner seeks revision of the judgment of conviction dated 9.5.2006 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, F.T.C. Vth, Gopalganj in Criminal Appeal No.7 of 2006/ 3 of 2006, by which he has upheld the conviction of the Petitioner under the provisions of Arms Act and Excise Act and maintained the sentence of 2 years S.I. under each offence and fine of Rs.500/- under Arms Act, passed by judgment dated 25.2.2006 by the Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Gopalganj in G.R. No.1856 of 2005 (Trial No.2746 of 2006). Having gone through the impugned judgment, I do not find any reason for interference. However considering the period of custody of the Petitioner as also the date of occurrence, the sentence is modified to the period already undergone by him.
