JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 08-02-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner is in custody in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 68 of 2020 for the offences under Sections 376, 420, 354 of the Indian Penal Code. Considering the respective allegations levelled by the victim under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail stands rejected.

However, the Court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.38699 of 2020(2) dt.08-02-2021 2/2 receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the trial is not concluded with the specified period of time, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands dismissed.
