The petitioner is in custody since 23.05.2017 in connection with Belhar P.S. Case No.108A of 2015 (G.R. No.1181/15) registered for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 387, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act, Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 of C.L.A Act and Section 9(x), 13 of the U.A.P. Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the F.I.R., rather his name has surfaced on the confessional statement of Indradeo Yadav, which has got no evidentiary value.
