This is an appeal under Section 14(A)(2) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 against the refusal of prayer for bail vide order dated 19.05.2018 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge 1st -cum-Special Judge (POCSO Act), Patna, in Special (POCSO Act) Case No.18 of 2018, arising out of Shahpur Police Station Case No.22 of 2018, registered under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 6 of POCSO Act and Section 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The appellant allegedly ravished the daughter of the informant. The victim has supported the allegation in her statement

Patna High Court CR. APP (SJ) No.2480 of 2018 dt.24-09-2018 P2/ under Section 164 Cr.P.C. The appellant is in custody since 28.01.2018.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the appellant on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. The learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial Accordingly, the appeal stands dismissed.
