The sole petitioner, who is in custody since 26.07.2016 in Paharpur P.S. Case No.46/2016 registered for the offence under Sections 420, 467, 468 of the Indian Penal Code, has prayed for grant of bail.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is an illiterate person and without knowing the fact has sworn the affidavit.

However, Keeping in view the nature of accusation, period of custody as well as clean antecedent of the petitioner, as indicated in paragraph-3 of the petition, let the petitioner, namely, Mahendra Singh be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of
