The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bettiah Mufassil P.S. Case No.200 of 2016 registered under Sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code besides Sections 8 and 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The accusation is that on 11.05.2016 at about 07.00 P.M in the evening, the petitioner seeing the minor daughter of the informant alone caught hold her, pulled her to a field and forcibly tried to commit rape on her. On hulla raised by the daughter of the informant, the wife of the informant reached there and, thereafter, the petitioner fled away.

No.1451 of 2017 (2) dt.17-01-2017 2/2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is the next door neighbour of the informant and has falsely been implicated in this case with an ulterior motive due to dispute of path. Further submission is that the petitioner is aged about 18 years, as detailed in the F.I.R., and the petitioner having no criminal antecedent is in custody since 30.11.2016. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Bettiah Muffasil P.S. Case No.200 of 2016.
