Bore Rifle) to the petitioner, by disposing of the application filed by the petitioner and his representation dated 07.05.2024, before the Licensing Authority, which has not been considered despite the recommendation after verification of his application for Arms License because grant of License is necessary for the protection of life and liberty and protection of own property with social

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the Respondent No. 3 i.e. the District Magistrate, District-Rohtas at Sasaram, to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license on 14.7.2014.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Respondent-State submits that in case, the petitioner has filed an application for grant of arms license and the same is still pending, it shall be disposed off, within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Respondent No. 3, to consider the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of six weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
