2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief(s):- "(i). For issuance of an appropriate Writ in the nature of mandamus to command the respondent no. 2 for sanction of the Arms Licence of N.P. Bore Revolver/Pistol in the name of the petitioner. Aforesaid Arms Application has been applied on 26.11.2024.

Same is still pending in the basket of Rubbish of Respondent no. 2. Consequences Law is laid down before the respondent no. 2 because Law mandates that Application of Arms Licence shall be considered within 60 days from the date of filing of the Arms Application which is

3. Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the counsels.

4. Having regard to the fact that the only prayer sought for by the petitioner is disposal of his application made for issuance of arms licence to the Respondent No. 2, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 2 to consider the application made by the petitioner (AnnexureP/1) as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The authority before passing any order shall put the petitioner on notice, if needed, and grant him an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
