The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 25 of 2020 dated 07.02.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 354, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation against the petitioner and another is of keeping the informant in confinement for some time.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the occurrence is said to have taken place on 03.02.2020 but the FIR has been lodged on 07.02.2020. Apart from this, it has been stated that there appears to be a political dispute between the

He further submits that the petitioner is an editor of a local magazine and enjoys a good reputation in the society. The present case has only been filed in order to malign his reputation in the society. The offence under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code, it has been argued, does not appear to have been made out. Regard being had to the nature of accusation in the FIR and the other attendant factors and taking into account the clean antecedent of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Patna in connection with Mahila P.S.
